Boston Conservatory at Berklee has announced the appointment of 15 new faculty members among its dance, music and theatre departments.

Among the appointments are violinists Julia Glenn and Yonah Zur. Glenn has been appointed associate professor of violin, while Zur has been appointed assistant professor of violin.

Glenn is a member of the Lydian Quartet. She has a bachelor’s degree in linguistics from Harvard University, a master’s degree from New England Conservatory and is a 2018 graduate of the Juilliard School’s C.V. Starr doctoral programme. 

Glenn taught for three years at the Tianjin Juilliard School in China, where she served as violin and music theory faculty and was a member of the Tianjin Juilliard Ensemble.

Zur has served on the staff of the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra for over ten years and has conducted its Junior Repertory Orchestra since 2017. He is a regular guest with A Far Cry, the Boston Lyric Opera, and the Boston Ballet, and also has appeared with the Boston Chamber Music Society, the Lydian Quartet, and DeCoda chamber music collective.

Formerly a member of the Carmel Quartet and the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, he graduated from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and earned his master’s degree at the Juilliard School.
