This marks the foundation’s eleventh round of grants, with the total amount awarded since 2021 surpassing £1.1 million

The Continuo Foundation has announced the recipients of its eleventh round of grants, awarding more than £100,000 to support early music projects across the UK.
30 early music projects have received support from this round of grants, which includes nine emerging ensembles that have formed since 2020.
Projects supported include cross-arts collaborations, recordings, opera and touring beyond traditional concert settings and venues far from city centres.
This eleventh round includes an additional £6,000 in funding offered by The Purcell Society and matched by Continuo, to mark its 150th anniversary.
The Purcell-focused awards will go to the Monteverdi String Band’s project Wandering Prince, Unhappy Queen, inspired by Dido and Aeneas, as well as the Istante Collective’s production of King Arthur.
Including this round of grants, the total grant funding awarded since 2021 amounts to £1,176,000.
