The National Orchestra of Pays de la Loire in France announced the appointment of South Korean violinist Jueun Jeong as its new concertmaster in March.

Jeong completed her master’s degree with Ning Feng at the University for Music Hanns Eisler Berlin, followed by a concertmaster programme at the University of Music and Drama Rostock. She currently serves as guest principal second violinist with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra.

Jeong also studied chamber music as a member of the Eden Quartet at the University of Music, Drama and Media in Hanover under the tutelage of Oliver Wille, which won second prize and a special prize at the 2024 Premio Paolo Borciani.

She is a laureate of numerous international competitions, including winning second prize and jury prize at the 2021 IsangYun Competition.
