The recent string quartet winners of the 2026 ARD International Music Competition has signed with both Impresariat Simmenauer and Toret Artist Management

The award-winning Viatores Quartet has signed to both Impresariat Simmenauer and Toret Artist Management. The quartet joins the roster of Impresariat Simmenauer for general worldwide management, while Toret Artist Management will represent the ensemble for local bookings in Italy.

The news follows recent success for the ensemble, which won first prize at the 2026 ARD International Music Competition, string quartet division, as well as the audience award and the special award for the best performance of the competition’s commissioned work. Shortly after its competition victory, the quartet won the Hans Gál Ensemble Prize for 2026.

The Viatores Quartet comprises violinists Louisa Staples and Johannes Brzoska, violist Miguel Erlich cellist Umut Sağlam. It formed in 2023 at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin and is currently studying with Oliver Wille at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media, and since autumn 2026 with Heime Müller and Vera Martinez-Mehner at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía in Madrid.

Its previous competition successes include first prize at the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy University Competition in 2024, second prize at the Irene Steels-Wilsing String Quartet Competition in 2025 and special prizes at the Wigmore Hall and Banff international string quartet competitions.
